Use your dashboard
Your dashboard brings together the projects, work and dates visible to your account. Choose Dashboard in the main navigation to open it. The demonstration accounts already have a starting dashboard, so they open directly to a populated layout.
Read and switch dashboards
Check the dashboard name at the top of the page. If you have more than one, use the Dashboard selector to switch between them. The dashboard marked Default opens first and also appears as your main dashboard link on Home. Widgets can show a count, a short list, alerts or progress. Select an item link when one is available to open the underlying record; what you see depends on your permissions.
The demonstration dataset prepares these starting views:
| Starting view | What it brings together |
|---|---|
| Employee overview | Participated projects, your upcoming milestones and tasks, and your upcoming leaves. |
| Team overview | Managed projects and deadlines, team members and leave, visible funds, and contracts requiring attention. |
| Laboratory overview | Visible projects and overdue items, upcoming milestones, funds including those ending soon, contracts and employee movements. |
These are starting layouts, not fixed access levels. A widget may be empty when there is no matching visible information. The same template can show different results for different users.
Create your first dashboard
If your account has no personal dashboard, the Dashboard page asks you to enter a name and choose a Starting template: Employee, Leader, Lab manager or Blank. No template is selected for you. Choose one and select Create dashboard. Blank starts without widgets; the other choices provide a starting layout. You can add another dashboard later with New dashboard.
Project dashboards and expense evolution
A project can also have its own Dashboard section. Its starting layout includes Expense evolution, a chart of monthly expenses visible for that project. This widget is not part of the three prepared personal dashboards in the demonstration dataset. It can also be added from the widget catalogue where available. The chart is a dashboard view, not a separate fund record or a forecast.
